Skipping

We do skipping every morning if the weather is fine.
I like skipping in the morning because you can do lots of fun things with the skipping ropes.
Skipping is the coolest in the world because you get to know new things like double-dutch. It’s so cool I will do it every day!
Skipping is exercise and it keeps you fit and strong.

Whakanui/Fiafia Day

On Friday the 14th of September we were celebrating our learning and showing our whanau the volcanoes we made.
It was finally time and we were allowed to erupt our volcanoes. First we saw Billy’s volcano and next minute… Pop! …Bang! everyone started erupting their volcanoes. It was so cool.

Working Together

In Pohutukawa Waru everyone works together as a group.

We played with Blue-bots and we worked together and made mazes for the Blue-bots to go through. We had a turn each and shared our own maze ideas together. We did cool tricks by coding it with forward, backwards, left and right turns. The Blue-bots were a little bit slow but everyone enjoyed it.

We also play math games together and do MIC and help each other with learning.

The Pohutukawa classes all made volcanoes. When we made the volcanoes, we worked together and shared ideas.

School Garden

We're looking forward to seeing our vegetables grow. We've planted cabbages, celery, broccoli and beetroot. Thank you to our caretaker Mr Middleton, and our furry caretaker Milly for helping.

Cornwallis 2018

On Friday the 16th of February we went to Cornwallis Beach for our annual trip. It was a great day to connect with our tamariki and whanau. Thank you to everyone who joined us.
