Kia ora Whānau,

Because of the possibility that schools may close due to the coronavirus,
we have made a plan to help your child be able to continue their learning
and cover their curriculum topics at home.

Pohutukawa teachers have put together a  selection of websites that each
class in Pohutukawa could visit to continue literacy and numeracy learning.
You can find the links for this learning on the Glendene School website
now, so have a look and get familiar with all the activities they offer.

As per the Ministry of Education guidelines, we will no longer be sending
daily reading books home because they may potentially carry the virus.
Please continue daily reading at home using whatever sources you have
available; ie newspapers, magazines, Duffy books, mail fliers etc

If you don't have internet access, over the page you will find some great ideas
to keep literacy and numeracy learning going at home.

Keep well, keep warm, kia kaha!

Many thanks from the Pohutukawa teachers,
Shelley, Rasmita, Moana and Bernice
